Family Time 2013

It's been how long?!   I guess It's been two weeks since I got back from my visit to Manitoba, and work has been crazy since then.  Here's some of the fun I had back then:

Enjoyed some time with Ellen and her kids at their friends' pool.

Went to see the antique tractors at Austin with my Dad and uncle Pete.

Some very unusual tractors that I'd never seen before!

And some tiny home-built ones.

Some beautiful views on the scenic way home from there.

Dad's Massey-Ferguson Super 90,  ripe and ready for restoration - I've spent many hours on the field on that one!

A bike ride with Jim & Sabrina and Ellen & Dale, to Assiniboine Park, stopping to watch some medieval jousting.

The girls, cruising in their Cadillac!

Bella & Lexie had some fun dressing me up!

Bella had a fun (but terrifying) ride with Uncle Greg in Jordan's car.  Lexie chose me as a driver instead.  ;-)

Some dramatic views, as a storm rolled through.

Beautiful grasses behind Mom & Dad's yard.

All the grandkids on Dad's tractor collection.

The 'new' minibikes were a big hit at our family get-together, and brought back lots of memories!  This was a surprise for most of us, as Dad and Jim found two bikes for sale in working condition, to replace the old one that we always tried (without success) to get running again.

I love those kids, and always come away from my visit with lots of smile-inducing memories!!

I had the opportunity to drive back to Vancouver with Janet and family, and I'm so glad I took it!!  It was a very long drive, but lots of fun, and we saw some beautiful scenery!

We drove the U.S. route, through North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, and Washington, with a bit of a side trip to see Glacier National Park in Montana.  I'd never travelled that route before, so all the scenery was all-new.

Tie-dye stuff at a road-side stand along the way.

Approaching the bridge over the Columbia River in Washington.

Janet & Bob and their girls stayed in Vancouver for a few days - we enjoyed the time we got to spend with them, including a picnic at the beach - a great bonus to my 'family time'!
