Family time

 It's been a while, but back in August, I spent some quality time with my family in Manitoba.  Always great to see them!  Here are a few snippets from our time together - seems I didn't take many photos this year - I think I was too busy enjoying their company!

 Seeing the full moon at Assiniboine Park - I was there three times this year - makes up for the many years that I don't go there at all!  That new kids' playground makes me wish I was 5 again.

 Playing with the adorable kittens (is that redundant?) who came to my parents' just for the family weekend.

 Nap time - there are more napping spots, but this one is the favorite.

 Sunset on the prairie.  Gorgeous.

 Movie night in the back yard (Blind Side), made possible by the complete lack of mosquitoes!!  The fireworks that followed at midnight were cut short due to concerns about neighbourly relations.

 A modification to the zipline - a witch's broom.  Quite popular with the little girls!

 Sack races for all!

 One-slice toasted tomato sandwiches - nothing says summer quite like real tomatoes!!
