Had the most awesome day up on the slopes today! There was about a foot of snow overnight, and I was able to make it up the hill in the car (with all-season tires, and I had chains along, but didn't need them). Lots of other people were spinning out on the way up, and had to turn back.

It was sleeting when I got there, but it turned to snow after a bit, and quite heavy snow at that. I was lucky enough to get to the top chair just as they were opening it, and so I had a good couple of hours making fresh tracks before it got too crowded with other people!

I stopped for a break and had my lunch after a couple of hours, and this is what the car looked like by then - a good 4" in 2 hours!! There was another 2 1/2" a couple of hours later when I packed it in for the day.

This is the "lift" on the beginner hill - a conveyor belt with a plexiglass roof! It's 130 metres long (240'), and a very pleasant break on a day like today. I took it after going down a run that goes further down the hill than the main chair lift - it's not like I was on the beginner hill all day!

Sure Dan...I bet you were off the bunny hill. :)
Where were you skiing that the bunny hill had a conveyor belt with a plexiglass roof??

Hmph! There were no bunnies where I was riding!
I go to Mount Seymour, one of the three local hills, about 45 minutes away from home.
Looks like fun! Maybe I'll come out for a wknd &join you. Jim
Yeaahhhh!! C'mon!! But do call me before booking your flight - I'm expecting (and hoping) any day now that I'll be summoned to Montreal for a bit.
