Pretty Lights

Last night we went to see Illuminate Yaletown, a bit of a street festival with a bunch of art installations using light.

There were a few ice sculptures with colour-changing LED lights.

This exhibit was very cool - a bunch of fluorescent lights, and pot lights strung along a light rope.

This one was even cooler - they were projecting a video onto the side of a building, and the video was carefully designed to use the windows as part of the video.  Made for a great fun effect!  (though the video is a bit too dark to see all the windows)

Tonight we went over to Siobhan & Derrick's for some drinks, appetizers, and laughs. On the way, we enjoyed some of the city lights.

I like your computer geekiness that allows the lights to change colour on the ice blocks picture. Nicely done. And the new roof of BC place is pretty darn cool too.

P.S. I'm jealous that you got to hang out with Sio and Derrick.
