Last week we had another 'Photo walk' at work - the categories were 'Silhouette', 'Odd numbers', and an open category.

This one of mine won in the Open category - it's the new float plane dock, at the convention centre - most of the planes are still using the old dock nearby, hence the rather lonely feeling here.

This one got 2nd in 'Odd numbers' - it's the original part of the convention centre, built as the Canada pavilion for Expo 86.
The rest of my entries:
The top three winners:
On Saturday, I had another awesome day snowboarding. We got another few inches of fresh, dry powder snow (on top of more than a metre of snow in the past week)!
I shot a bit of video on one of my favorite runs, which makes me feel like an Olympic boarder-cross rider:

Today I went for a bit of a bike ride, out toward the west end of the city, and came across this beautiful cottage. There's another one like it not too far from our place, by the same builder. This one was completely restored a few years ago, after it had fallen into disrepair. Looks like they managed to find roofers who could do some good work!

Great pics...way to go on your prestigious awards.
And you do look like a pro snowboarder--what a beautiful run.

Love that roof!! Why don't they do that on new houses?! Looks very fairy tale-ish.
how did you do the s board pics ? that looks like great snow conditions.dad
The snowboard video was done by holding my cell phone in my hand beside me, as steady as I could. My other arm was waving around extra hard to compensate!
L, I think the reason they don't do that on new houses is because the restorer had to look in Europe for the craftsman able to do that!
Cool pics as usual!! Congrats on the photo contest. I like the trees on the bottom pic, nice work! Have fun boarding. Jim
