As I anticipated, my week of work was pretty intense, but I did manage to get out for at least a short walk most evenings.
This (the white lighted line) is a section of the old city wall, built in the early 1700s.

This is what happens when you've got your camera set to a 15 second exposure time, and accidentally press the shutter button while walking. I quite like it!
This is the building furthest along, with much of the aluminum panels installed. Starting to look like what I had imagined!
The main public space along the front of the hospital, a well-lit double-height space.
They plan on having the waterproofing and insulation installed by end of November, so they can continue working inside through the winter, and then install the rest of the metal panels in spring.
I left on Saturday afternoon, and cut out of work in time to make a short return visit to St Joseph's Oratory. The fall colours are just starting to come in.
It is 283 steps up to the main doors (the three doors in the middle). The 99 steps of the staircase leading up to the lowest level are climbed by pilgrims on their knees.
One of the stations of the cross - beautiful carvings.
The altar, with a huge cast-iron screen behind.
Deep inside the lowest level, there's an area where you can see the foundations attached to the exposed rock wall of the hillside, and a statue of the Virgin Mary - a surprising and beautiful little spot!
