My Pumpkin

Here's what I came up with for a pumpkin carving this year.

Jenn is visiting her parents, so I joined the gang at our previous home for a potluck, and a few other neighbours joined in, as well as Siobhan and Derrick, making it about a dozen people or so.  Plenty of good food!

The night was very wet, but luckily there were some breaks in the pouring rain, and the ghosts and princesses and jellyfish were able to make their rounds - good thing, or we would have been stuck with a whole lot of candy to eat!

Nice Pumpkin!
I'm jealous about your celebrating with Sio...was she dressed at Madonna?

Doesn't she always dress as Madonna?

That pumpkin is amazing! We saw some pretty cool ones last night, but I think this one is better. That must have taken a while.
Sounds like a fun night with S & D (and the others)!

No Dad, this was one of my rare projects done without a full set of detailed drawings!

It went surprisingly quickly, once I had started - just shallow cuts all the way across the pumpkin, then cut through at random diamonds, making sure not to put too many holes too close together. Then cutting off the surface of adjacent parts was much easier.
