Blossoms and blooms

Some photos from this weekend:

The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival wrapped up with a "Bike the Blossoms" ride, to get out and enjoy some of the streets like this.

They got a great turnout, but my crowd estimating skills are not very good, so I'll just leave it at "hundreds".

I met up with our friends Siobhan & Derrick, and we had a great time!

Today, Jenn and I went over to Queen Elizabeth Park, to see if the cherry blossoms were still any good.  Not many of them, but the tulips were looking beautiful!

Not sure what these are called, but they sure were eye-catching!

They're replacing the clear roof of the conservatory (the dome that's visible just above the trailers), and so to protect the work going on, they've put up a HUGE scaffold and tarps over the whole thing - pretty impressive!

A pavilion in the park, ready for a wedding.

When we got home, we noticed that there was some fresh snow on the mountains - hard to believe!
