Speed

Some pics from the Tour de Gastown, which was Wednesday evening. It's a great event, going from 6 til 9pm, and it's very popular - this year about 35,000 people stayed downtown for it. Perfect weather this year, and nail-biting finishes in both men's and women's races, with local riders coming out on top in both races, to the delight of the crowd. It was a great vibe!

I like the spokes in this one.

And, just for something different, a giant strawberry. There's a concrete plant on Granville Island, in addition to the market, and they always do something interesting with the trucks - at Christmas, they have one covered in Christmas lights, parked on their lot.

FABULOUS shots, Dan!!!

Is your free spirited wife home? Was Bella properly cared for in her absence???

I was in VIC this weekend. Having a fabulous summer so far.

I haven't posted any photos yet because i am VERY frustrated trying to figure out how to use the damn camera!!! Practice does NOT make perfect!!!

Great pics!! You can just feel the speed. Maybe when you're here you can take pictures of me riding my 10-speed down the sidewalk and we can compare them.
