Something new, something old, to end the month...
A couple of shots of the new convention centre, set to have the ribbon cut on Friday. It's 1.1 million square feet of meeting and ballroom space (with a ballroom for 6,000 people), and will serve as the media centre for the Olympics. It has 6 acres of plants and grasses growing on the green roof.
And, an old beauty nearby. The top two floors look very intriguing!

The month is over already? You should definitely keep it going.
I'm happy to know there's a large enough venue the next time I invite all my friends to a ball. And 6 acres of rooftop grass?? Your next series could be green spaces.
I always like to think top floors like this are haunted...
Any yes, 6000 people??? Who has a party for 6000 people??
