Some pics from my wandering around downtown today before my volunteer shift:
The Royal Canadian Mint has a pavilion, where you can get a close-up look at the medals (if you haven't won one yourself), and see the 'million dollar gold coin'. I like the window decals, making it look like the place is filled with coins! (click on the photo to see it bigger)
The Bay has some slightly larger than life images of our athletes covering the outside of the store.
There's a zip-line above Robson Square - the start tower in the middle of the photo is 6 storeys high, and the finish (next picture) is about a block away, after crossing Robson Street. I asked how long the lineup was - 4 hours.
You can also see the B.C. pavilion in this picture. Unlike Manitoba House, it will remain in place after the games. ;-)
I submitted a spotlight design to the Vectorial Elevation site, and it showed up sometime this evening - I didn't see it, but it was captured on this web page.

Way cool about your light show. Now for sure I have to get Steve to do one. (He's been in Fernie all this week snowboarding with a friend so is way behind on all his favourite internet haunts).

He didn't invite me??!? Hmph!!
How cool is that (your light show thing)??? Way cool!
And apparently the lineup for zip line has now progressed to 6 hours...
Steve has never actually snowboarded before, so I think he was trying to keep a low profile to minimize the mockery. Don't feel bad...I didn't get invited either. :P
