We have our first real snow of the season - we had a dusting at the end of October, but this is the first that has stayed. But we're ok - we're prepared. Right?

These were taken leaning out our bedroom window.

I made a trip out to the job-site of the hospital project that I'm here for. They've been excavating and pile-driving for a while now, and have a couple of the construction cranes up. There will be a total of about 12 at the peak of construction. Kind of gives perspective of just how big this project is. Yikes!
Our office is allegedly moving into the construction trailers visible near the far left of this picture (visible if you click on the photo to enlarge it) at Christmas. But we're all hoping they just keep putting that off, or forget about it completely - that place will not be friendly to a bunch of office workers in mid January!!

I also made a stop at the Westmount Library, for their annual book sale - picked up 9 novels for $10. I'm happy! And it's a charming little place!
And this afternoon we spent a couple of hours at the Musée des beaux-arts. There's a display of glass sculpture, some of which left us completely speechless in its detail and creativity, among them this one and a few others from the same artist.

Okay, first - excavating at a hospital just does not sound good. How many bodies were dug up???
And buddy, we've got snow in Vancouver that hasn't entirely melted yet either...it has for the most part but there are still chunks here and there. Time to ship out - SOUTH. We'll leave you guys any of our good stuff coz we ain't taking it with us. - Siobhan
That glass is GORGEOUS!!
It's not a hospital yet - just a construction site. Prior to this, it was a railway switching yard, complete with a roundhouse for the locomotives.
Snow has been washed away by the rain. But wait - there will be more!
