Just realized I hadn't posted this!
Today (or 2 weeks ago) I went to watch the St Patrick's Day parade downtown. It was a beautiful day, and it brought out the crowds!

Lots of great bag-pipe bands.

This is The Green Man, a Celtic story-teller.

A heavy police presence in the parade.

And some cool old ambulances (ambulie? what's the plural of ambulance?)

Also a few vintage firetrucks - this one was used in the small fire-roads on the north shore mountains, in West Vancouver.

A tired old-timer needed a wheel-chair.

Lots of colourful characters, in the parade, and also in the crowd!

A sword-fighting display - there's a course available, for you to go for lessons!

A little bit of editing of the Chinese New Year signage, and you're good to go!

Celtic dancers, making that trailer bounce!!
And last but not least, St Patrick himself.

There were a bunch of Irish Wolf-hounds in the parade, and they were the
most crowd-drawing thing in the Celtic Village street festival afterwards! Scary looking things, but apparently quite docile.
