I went to a car show this weekend, in the parking lot of one of the casinos - it wasn't a huge show, but had a variety of vehicles, from old classics to current super-cars.
This one sounded great, rumbling through the crowd to get to its parking spot!
Loved this old truck, a 1952 Chevy.
This 1951 Chevy bread truck had a very different cargo area than it used to!
It was made up as a TV lounge.
This modern truck had bits of everything in it:
the dashboard was from a 1950's BelAir;
and the engine from a modern Corvette. I'm sure it would make the mechanics at the local Chevy dealership scratch their heads if they took it in for service!
A big old Lincoln Continental, with doors open wide.
Not sure what this one was, but it was low, long, and very deep black. (just checked - it's a 1951 Mercury)
I particularly liked a couple of the 1961 Chevy Impalas - very sleek cars.
with GREAT rear visibility!
On the modern side of things, these cars were advertising a rental deal, where you could drive 4 of these cars in turn, on a 2 hour trip up the coast. The $500 price tag for that little drive is a bit of an eye-opener.
Entertaining us for the afternoon was a band using an old bus as a stage - pretty cool setup!
Very neat to see a variety of cars, and yes, there was a lot of chrome to be found!

Cool cars! Someone sure did a lot of work to that S10. That 51 Merc is sweet! Sabrina wants a car like that. Those super cars aren't part of your co-op? Jim
