There's a barge anchored in one of the coves along the shore - it's
got what looks from afar like a ramshackle pile of lumber crudely
slapped together. On the pathway overlooking the cove is a sign,
inviting you to take a ferry over for a visit. This I then did!
Turns out it's an art work, meant to symbolize some of the features of the port and industrialized coast, and is made of salvaged materials.
Some bits show signs of having been in a fire!
All sorts of great textures, most metal bits showing signs of rust.
There are all sorts of passageways, stairs, and ladders, making for interesting vantage points.
The most prominent feature is this tower.
A spiral walkway leads part-way up around the outside;
the inside of the tower shows that it's actually very well-built.
After climbing a set of stairs inside the tower, you then climb a ladder inside this narrow "spire".
Once at the top, you get a great view of the city and the boats in the harbour.
Looking down at some of the walkways.
The workshop at the back is off-limits, but we get to see where they dream up and build the next features!
It was a very intriguing, imaginative, and unexpected piece of sculpture!

That's very cool. It would be neat to host a cocktail party there...but then I wouldn't be able to drink any cocktails because I would fall over board. :)

That would be a very real possibility!
Which one? Hosting a cocktail party or me falling over board? hahahahhaha.
