We decided on the spur of the moment to spend the weekend in Quebec City. Hopped on the train Saturday morning, got to Quebec just before noon, and spent the next two days exploring the city.
The crooked little streets lined with charming shops and restaurants are adorable!
I did my part in making the Chateau Frontenac the world's most photographed hotel.
We found a couple of places that I wouldn't want to live in - imagine looking out your window each morning, staring down the barrel of a cannon!
How short would you have to be to live in this basement suite?!?!
And a place where I would like to live, as a cat - they've got their own entrance!
Some amazing paintings on the highway support pillars.
Another beautiful little street, with the Chateau Frontenac peeking out.
And the great little electric bus that runs around the old part of the city. Believe it or not, it's got room for 10 seated, and another 10 standing!
We had a great visit, walked many miles, learned a lot of history, and saw a lot of fascinating sights.

Very fun. I love the old European feel of Quebec City. We are sad to say that we're postponing our summer road trip to Montreal/Quebec City for another year. :(

Oh! (that is said with a little gasp, like Anne of Green Gables might do when she sees something delightful). How adorable and historic is Quebec ?? And for cats only???? My kindred spirit must live in that building!!! Loved these photos, Dan!!!
