We enjoyed a pleasant day out at the University of BC Botanical Gardens today.

Some apple trees trained into the UBC letters!

There are plants and trees from all over the world, with some great textures.
Including desert plants and cacti.
Those were planted in some great stone planters.

Lots of great pathways and bridges.

And what looked like an olive tree straight from Biblical times!

There's also an aerial walkway, suspended from the trees.
It gets up to about 40' high, and really sways and bounces as you walk on it!

We liked this beautiful amphitheater, with a curved rammed earth wall, a fountain, and trees planted on the steps.

Self portrait, reflected in the fountain. ;-)
