I spent two weeks in Manitoba with my family, and as usual, I had a whole lot of fun!
Jim and his darling daughters picked me up at the airport, and then we headed straight for my cousin Rob's backyard pool. It was rather hot at the time, so that was a welcome relief - thanks Rob!
A couple of days later, Ellen and I went to her friend Darla's pool to "stir up the water" - Darla and family were away on vacation, and it's never good for a pool to sit idle. ;-) It's a gorgeous back yard!

I went to my cousins Pat & Kim for dinner one evening, taking one of my dad's hot-rod tractors. Good fun!

We made our way through the culvert that makes up part of the flood control system. It was a lot longer than I expected, and only a few inches wider than our paddles - made for an interesting challenge.
Dad's latest addition to the fun was a new zip-line. In preparation for our family weekend get-together, Dad & I worked on completing the starting platform that he built. It also makes a great tree-house for the smaller kids!
I had some work to do in clearing out some of the dead branches near the flight path for the zipline - always good to go tree-climbing!
My niece Tia, with the most fashionable zip-line outfit.
A couple of my youngest nieces started out riding the zipline sitting on their daddy's laps, but before long, they were doing it on their own!
Gosh, what a sweet little thing she is!!
The weekend was filled with a whole lot of fun things, including some good fires (with smores), bbq hamburgers (and lots of great food), feeding the neighbours' chickens, blowing bubbles, launching water balloons (most were more successful than this), and the latest motorized toy that Jim picked up for Bella.
It's fast!
but still thrilling even at low speeds!!
