BLDG #13

This is the birth of the athletes' village for the Olympics. (there are 3 more cranes just outside the picture) The development is called Millennium Water, and being sold as "Vancouver's last waterfront community" (or at least until they develop the rest of the undeveloped waterfront land). Phase one is sold out, but phase two will be available in April, starting at around $460k for a 570 sf shoe-box. But you'll be able to say that an Olympic athlete has slept at your place!

(sorry Julie, the ugly buildings will have to be another day)

Our landlord was busy pruning today, and hacked 6 feet off the bushes outside our dining room window - improved our view immensely, at the expense of a bit of privacy. Just like hair, they grow quickly, around 2-1/2 feet a year. We'll enjoy the peek at the peaks for now.
