This is a sad, sad building. It's an apartment building, run by the Downtown Eastside Residents Association, as low-cost housing. Unfortunately, they didn't maintain it, and the resident's didn't do their part either, resulting in an awful, moldy, needle and other nasties strewn wreck of a building. The city has condemned it, and is in the process of tearing it down, to rebuild something better. Let's hope it turns out happier.

It's a sad situation. Low income earners have a right to affordable housing, yet, I'm not exactly a millionaire but I'm expected to maintain MY home - why can't they maintain theirs? You want people to be able to live in a healthy manner, but their unhealthy habits makes you throw your hands up in despair and say "why bother?" I know, I know. This is a conversation that could go on for days...it's your fault. You started it.
