Time to go home!

It's been a good, productive trip to Montreal, and I managed to sneak in a fair bit of sight-seeing too.  My hotel room was nice and comfortable, and mostly quiet except for the loading dock of the office building across the street.  Some cool things in it, like the glowing glass box bed-side table, and the glass-walled shower (which I'm looking through, from the bathroom).

The thing that started my stay perfectly, was walking into the room when I got here, and the radio was on, playing our favorite Montreal station, Planète Jazz.  It's all jazz, all the time, and we were often amused at the cover songs that are done in jazz style.  When a song starts up, you get this vague feeling like you've heard it before, but you can't quite place it...  As I left this morning, Van Halen's "Jump" was playing.

I had to google the jazz cover of Jump...it's so funny, because I totally did not recognize it until the girl started to sing. :P

That is a very cool hotel room (and view). I love that side table...my kids would love one! Did it get hot to touch after it had been on for a while? Next time can you steal one in your suitcase for me?
