This tower is one of my favorite new buildings in town, designed by British architect Norman Foster. It's an office and condo, with some pretty interesting curved rooms. The old building next door was previously seen in my blog as construction was starting next door.
The red brick building was completely suspended in the air while the underground parking was excavated beneath it. The parking is a fully automated system, where you drive your car onto a platform, and then it is taken away, and tucked into a cubby-hole. When you want to leave, you swipe your parking card, and your car is brought to you. This allows for a lot more cars than if you had to have ramps and drive aisles.

That automated parking is just like the Jetsons!

Oh, and I meant to say: that's crazy that red building was suspended.
And, I just checked out the condo link...they need some of those glowing night tables. :)

Hehe Sheri-lee.
I wrote a comment yesterday but it doesn't look like it showed up. ? It was something to do with our Silhouette and Cavalier wishing they could park there.
